Before you arrive
Do I need to register?
Yes. Every visitor registers online on Sagada iPass before arriving. The form asks for your dates, the number of guests and the inn you are staying at, so book your inn first.
Older guides name lodging.sagada.com.ph as the town’s portal. Ask your inn which site to use if you are unsure.

What does it cost?
An environmental fee of ₱100 per visitor, with optional travel insurance for ₱50 more (as of June 2025). Registration gives you a tourist ID that works as your pass to the sites.
Paid registrations cannot be refunded or moved to someone else.

Do children need a pass?
Children aged 7 and below need no pass if you upload proof of age, such as a birth certificate or school ID.
What if a typhoon or road closure stops my trip?
After a road closure, flood or typhoon, you can send one rebooking request within three days of your original schedule. A rebooking stays valid for a year.
How do I avoid booking scams?
Book an accredited inn and register only through the town’s own site. The town has warned visitors about fake booking pages.

Guides
Do I need a guide?
Yes for the caves, which you can only enter with a guide, and for most hikes. At Bomod-ok Falls the information office in Banga-an asks you to hire one.
How much does a guide cost?
The town sets a rate for each spot. Ask for the current rate sheet at the Tourism Office or your inn. We do not print rates here, because every published figure we found is from 2019 or undated.

While you are there
Can sites be closed when I visit?
Yes, sometimes at short notice. Communities close places to outsiders for ubaya, a pause after planting, harvest or a calamity. Bomod-ok Falls stayed closed for ubaya in July 2025, and on 1 December 2025 Echo Valley, the hanging coffins, Bokong Falls and Sumaguing Cave closed for a day.
Heavy rain can also limit the caves to their entrances. Check with the Tourism Office on the day.
Is there a curfew?
Yes, a late-night curfew. We have not confirmed the time, so ask your inn.
